Michael A Williams

I am interested in almost all aspects of Local History, but I am especially interested in "Community Experience", i.e. how a community responded to and "saw" a great event or circumstance that involved them all. Hence my concern with "The Great War as Local History".

At the forthcoming Society conference in April 2000 I plan to present a paper that considers how to conduct research of this type, and how to express the findings. This will include everything from databases through formal accounts, to plays and poetry.

I am an MA student in Creative Writing at Leeds University Bretton Hall College.

I am the author of Researching Local History - The Human Journey; Addison Wesley Longman 1996.
