The 2006 Annual Conference was held on 13 May 2006 at Aspley Guise, Buckinghamshire.

The focus for annual conference was Charity and Community and the conference was held close to the Society Archive in Aspley Guise. The conference hall accommodates 100 persons. There is ample free parking for cars. Delegate Rate 10 without lunch, 15 including buffet lunch

The theme for this years conference is Charity and Community and the afternoon session will see the launch of the Society's next research project - an investigation into the provision of almshouses. The academic advisor will be Nigel Goose, of the University of Hertfordshire. Other invited speakers include Helen Caffrey, an Open University Tutor, who has undertaken considerable research into almshouses within the West Riding (Yorkshire) and Sylvia Pinches of the VICTORIA COUNTY HISTORY project who will talk about Charity in Warwickshire communities.
