title Gorton Citizens Advice Bureau, Manchester, 1978, 1988 and 1997: clients' problems as a reflection of the Gorton community
abstract Gorton Citizens Advice Bureau in Manchester opened its doors to the local community in August, 1977. The purpose of this report is to show the increasing number and complexity of enquiries brought to the bureau, and to see if there are clients who use the bureau on a regular basis over time. Data has been collected and collated from the client case records of Gorton Citizens Advice Bureau (1978 - 1979, 1988 - 1989 and 1997 - 1998), the Annual Reports of Manchester Citizens Advice Bureaux and the Annual Report of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux. Comparisons have been made nationally and with the findings of Judith Citron (1989) and Jean Richards (1989).
